Bonding elements in mechanical engineering – especially in the high-tech sector – is increasingly common. The advantages lie in gap bridging, sealing against moisture, damping, insulation or corrosion protection. Especially for motors, our adhesives and potting cover all adhesive connections on the electric motor, from magnets to printed circuit board bonding. The applications range from the smallest motors to massive motors or generators. We primarily rely on a diversely functionalised portfolio of epoxy resins in these applications.
Magnet bonding
Stator and rotor. Externally and internally.
Magnetic bonding is a very interesting type of gluing. The requirements for mechanical properties and temperature resistance are very challenging. Our 1C and 2C epoxy resin adhesives are characterised by highest temperature resistance (up to over 200°C) and by a well-developed impact strength.
- Extreme temperature resistance (over 200°C)
- Outstanding mechanical performance
- 1C/2C solutions in all epoxy variants
- Automatic dispensing
- Gap-bridging
We choose either amine hardeners or anhydrite systems – especially for high-temperature products.
There are hardly any limits for application; we bond motors from the size of the smallest actuators in the aerospace or medical sector to larger motors – especially automotive motors.
Magnetic adhesive variation?
To bridge the magnetic gap between the pressed discs of the rotor and the magnet, we have developed a magnetic 1C high-temperature adhesive – especially for the application in the electric motor of cars. This patented product is based on a high-temperature resistant anhydrite epoxy resin adhesive, which is magnetically equipped with a corrosion-free filler.
In addition to the performance advantages of the magnetic field there are profitable experiences in the application due to the magnetic adhesive. If you are interested: Please feel free to contact us.
Motor Assembly
On circuit boards and more.
The electric engine on PCB technique is used, for example, in e-bikes or other modern concepts of electric motors. Bonds of this type are exposed to enormous stress due to the different thermal expansion coefficients. Our epoxy resin adhesives are very elastic so they can bridge the gap and fulfill the mechanical properties in the best possible way, depending on the corresponding project.
Castings with sealing effect
Versatile in use.
We offer casting materials for many engine applications. Especially for sealing castings, the requirements in terms of temperature resistance, moisture resistance and concentricity are very high. In addition to corrosion resistance, the chemical resistance is excellent – most industrial chemicals such as oils or lubricants do not pose a problem for the joint. By using non-pourable epoxy resin encapsulants, even the most complex component geometries can be sealed.
A common application would be, for example, the rosette potting of the rotor.
